Local. Experienced. Student-Focused.
Ahmed founded Salamah Driving School with a clear purpose: to promote safe driving habits and help build a better driving generation right here in St. John's, NL. After spending years navigating this city's unpredictable roads, steep hills, and harsh winters, he knows exactly what it takes to drive confidently in Newfoundland.
What set Ahmed on this path was a pattern he kept noticing: students, especially international students new to the city, were struggling to navigate the licensing process. As someone who has been in that position himself, he understood the challenge on a personal level. Salamah Driving School was built from that empathy: a student-run business that genuinely gets what students need.
Ahmed has been driving in St. John's for over 7 years, through every kind of weather and terrain the city throws at you. That real-world experience shapes every lesson he teaches.
Away from the car, Ahmed is an avid volleyball player and the founder of the MUN Volleyball Club. Teaching a sport to people of all skill levels taught him that no two learners are the same, and that the best instructors adapt. He brings that same creativity and flexibility to every driving lesson, tailoring his approach to fit each student's pace, comfort level, and goals.
At Salamah Driving School, our mission is to cultivate safe, confident drivers who make St. John's roads better for everyone. We believe that great driving instruction isn't just about passing a test. It's about building the skills and habits that last a lifetime.
